Saving shelter pets who run out of time.
Foster Army Animal Rescue pulls shelter dogs and cats most at risk of euthanasia, seniors, underaged pets, the injured, the sick, the special-needs animals nobody else is stepping up for. Every animal we take in is placed in a foster home, not a kennel, until the right adopter is found. Since 2016, one hundred percent of our intakes have been fostered.

What we do
Foster homes, not kennels.
Animals waiting on adoption with us sleep in real beds, get used to kids and other pets, and arrive at their new family with a behavior profile built over weeks, not a label stuck to a crate.
Read our storyAt-Risk Foster Program
Our core program. We transfer sick, injured, special-needs, senior, underaged, and misfit pets out of shelters and into trained foster homes across the Inland Empire.
Operation Spay and Neuter Riverside
Low-cost and free spay and neuter for owned pets in the community. Prevention is the long game. Every surgery today keeps a litter from landing in a shelter tomorrow.
Humane Education and Community Services
Microchip clinics, vaccine drives, nail trims, basic behavior help. Small barriers that keep pets in their homes and out of shelters.
Every dollar moves an animal closer to home.
Our budget is public. Over 91% of donations go directly to animal care, not overhead or fundraising.
